Clay is my life's passion.

In my studio, I create visually striking and tactile pieces inspired by both nature and human-made structures. The relationship between form and texture, from the narrow, balanced bases to the full bodies and towering necks of my vessels, creates a sense of balance and tension. The finishes are all tied in some way to a history. My work pays homage to the rich traditions of indigenous pottery, particularly the burnished red and black vessels of Native American pueblos and the stark beauty and earthy tones of African ceramics.
